Security Enhancement
Support for the latest version of OpenSSL v1.0.2l.

Usability Enhancements
Users accessing the Presto UI from the same host where Presto is installed will no longer have to login to the UI. UI login is required when accessing via browser from an alternate host.

UI Enhancements
2.5.3047 incorporates a preview release of our new Admin UI with significant enhancements for IT administrators.  A separate email will provide direction for previewing the new Admin UI.

MAJOR UPDATE

Overview:

Presto 2.5 has formally been released.  This is a major update that introduces significant new functionality.   


ALL CLIENT APPS (iOS, Android, ChromeOS) HAVE BEEN UPDATED AND NEW APPS REQUIRE THE MOST RECENT VERSION OF PRESTO SERVER.

If apps do not connect.  Whitelist *.collobos.net

Updating an app/s requires the current server version. We recommend updating at your earliest convenience. Presto Server is however backward compatible with previous versions of Presto previous client apps.

Compatibility:

Upgrading from Presto 2.0.0 and above to 2.5.2776 is supported; All settings and tags are preserved through the upgrade process.

What’s New:

  • Magic Queue: Presto’s Magic Queue has moved from the client to the server. Users can now print from PC, Mac, iOS OS X, Android, and ChromeOS to the Magic Queue and release from their mobile device.
  • Presto Station: Individual printers can now be configured as Presto Station /Secure Release printers. Login or scan-in to a Presto Station in order to release documents to the printer. No card reader and no firmware are necessary. Make any printer a secure printer. See the Presto administrator guide and features guide for more information and deployment details.
  • Built-in support for Active Directory, with additional support for PIN code login, Single Sign-on through flexible directory provider plug-ins.
  • Various bug fixes and performance enhancements.
